Welcome to Credit Report resource site!
Credit report or credit history is a record of an individual's or company's past
borrowing and repaying, including information about late payments and
bankruptcy. This information is used by lenders such as credit card companies
to determine an individual's or entity's means and willingness to repay an
indebtedness.
Credit Report
In many countries credit report is a record of an individual's or company's past
borrowing and repaying, including information about late payments and
bankruptcy.
When a customer fills out an application for credit from a bank, store or credit
card company, his or her information is forwarded to a credit bureau, along
with constant updates on the status of his or her credit accounts, address or
any other changes you may have made since the last time he or she applied for
any credit.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the nationwide consumer
reporting companies - Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion - to provide you with a
free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. The
FCRA promotes the accuracy and privacy of information in the files of the
nation's consumer reporting companies. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the
nation's consumer protection agency, enforces the FCRA with respect to consumer
reporting companies.
Credit history is typically local to one country. Even within the same credit
card network information is not shared for different countries. For example, a
person who has been using Visa credit cards issued by banks in China or Canada
for many years who moves to the United States and immediately applies for a
Visa will not be approved because of lack of credit history.
An immigrant must establish a credit history from scratch in the new country,
which can take years. New immigrants are forced to seek loans from irregular
channels, which can create social problems.
In the United States, once every 12 months, each person is entitled to one free
credit report from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting
companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
The Government of Canada offers a free publication called Understanding Your
Credit Report and Credit Score. This publication provides sample credit report
and credit score documents with explanations of the notations and codes that
are used. It also contains general information on how to build or improve
credit history, and how to check for signs that identity theft has occurred.
Other Info
Some other members have not had great success with the website. However, my
experience that orders my credit report was great. my credit report was The
service was quick and painless. I was able to get my pin immediately because I
used a commercial, paid e-mail account. If you do not have a commercial e-mail
account, you will experience problems. The service only works if you have a
commercial account to protect your privacy and ensure the security of your
information. Since anyone can have a free e-mail account, they require a
commercial account for your protection. That was the only drawback and it was
negligible. I think it's a great service for the value. Try it and decide for
yourself. It's only $8!
In addition to the convenience of 24 hour 7 day Internet time, QSpace has
provided me with fast and friendly customer service. On one occasion I
inadvertently submitted two orders instead of one. QSpace credited me quickly
and without any hassle for the unintended order. It is true that you don't have
to spend $7.95 to get your credit report. For me, the overall Qspace
convenience is worth at least most of the cost, though. If it were a dollar or
two less expensive I would give QSpace my highest recommendation, but I do
recommend it highly as it is.
Their customer service has been quite helpful to me, I had been a previous
customer and when I learned of the new scoring system, my curiosity got the
better of me so I wanted to reorder since my credit report had expired. I
signed on and assumed I could add the feature; I could not and only got my
report. I emailed them about this and voiced my concern, within 24 hours they
added the feature for returning customers and I was able to access my score for
3.95. I was very impressed by this. Their website at times seems to be rather
slow and sometimes I have had trouble accessing my reports. The only real
problem I have really had is that the reports do not seem to be very current,
now I realize that they are providing you the data that they receive from the
credit agency, but it does seems to be a little out of date. But overall I
credit think it is a great idea and the site is very easy to navigate.
Qspace has been an invaluable commodity for me and my wife. The website provides
quick and accurate information in basically the report same format as all the
major credit bureaus, only easier to read. It also provides a comprehensive
credit scoring systems that rates your credit worthiness. Qspace also provides
helpful insights into your credit history highlighting both the positive and
negative aspects. It even provided information as to why a particular
circumstance is viewed negatively by creditors and how one might go about
improving one's credit standing. Qspace is an excellent resource for anyone
thinking of applying for a loan or simply checking for inaccuracies. I would
highly recommend the site and the price you pay is minimal for the security of
knowing what's on your credit report and the opportunity to eliminate
potentially damaging problems in the future.
Absolutely, your right of access is mandated by federal and state laws. You
should review your credit reports on a regular basis in order to check for
accuracy, especially in this age of rampant identity theft. Credit reports are
used to make a number of critical decisions that go far beyond your ability to
obtain credit cards and loans. These include renting an apartment, seeking
employment, and obtaining insurance. You will want to make sure that your
credit reports are accurate and up to date. In the past, consumers in most
states were required to pay a fee to obtain copies of their credit reports. Now
access is free of charge.
Qspace allows you to order your credit report and view it online within a matter
of seconds. It involves entering a lot of initial information but the time and
the $8 it costs are well spent. It details almost everything in your credit
history, and you can then print it out. though it may be as long as 20 or 30
pages. The website and interface are of high quality and extremely easy to
navigate and use. If you access the site through Mypoints.com, you can even
earn my points credits. Unfortunately, if you read some of the other opinions,
those members have not had such a great experience with Qspace. So check it out
and evaluate it for yourself before entering your personal info.
I have been working hard to establish and maintain my credit and I like to
frequently check my reports for errors. Qspace is an online site that provides
you with instant access to your credit file in a matter of minutes. You can
choose to order your single report for 7.95, these reports depending on where
you live, seem to generate from either Equifax or Experian. You have to
register and provide them with personal information about yourself on their
secured site, you then can order your report and view almost immediately, and
this is known as a "soft" inquiry and will not be shown on your reports to
potential lenders/creditors. You can also order the merged report for 29.95,
this report is from all three credit bureaus and it gets delivered to you in
the mail, but remember this will show as a "hard inquiry", too many of these
can hamper your scores.
